INTRODUCING... Sovaida Ma'ani Ewing
Sovaida Ma’ani was called to be a barrister-at-law of England and Wales in 1984. She received her LLM from the University of Cambridge in 1986. Thereafter, she received her license to practice law as an attorney in Washington, DC and Maryland where she had a successful legal practice for fifteen years, eleven of these in the private sector and four as an attorney-advisor in the field of international law within the Legal Advisor’s office of the U.S. State Department. She is currently an independent scholar writing and working in the field of collective security. She is the co-author of a recent book entitled “Laws of the Kitab-i-Aqdas”; and the author of a book entitled “Creating A Baha’i Identity In Our Children.” She has served on a number of Baha’i institutions. She is one of the founders of the Iranian-American Cultural Association and served on the boards of the Foreign Lawyers’ Forum and the Baha’i Justice Society for several years. She is currently serving on the Executive Board of the Interfaith Conference of Metropolitan Washington DC. |
